Some themes of life are so beautiful that your thoughts replay them. You don't want to forget them or get away from them. You want to hear them all of your life. They are like the favorite works of Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, and others-the ones that sent chills up your arms when you first heard them. To you they spoke of great adventures, daring, deep hardship, deep yearning, heart-wrenching feelings, lowest times, and then glory. Glory.
We are equipped by God to be thrilled, else he would not have promised us so much. He has said it is far above all that we can ask, think, or dream. All of scripture is saying this to us. Every promise that speaks to the defeat of death answers the great argument between Pharisees and Sadducees before Jesus was born: "Is there a resurrection?"
C. H. Spurgeon wrote, in effect, "You may not be aware of it at this moment. You may not yet have dreamed it to be possible. Truth is that even now you are beloved of God. Even now you dwell in the Beloved."
Does that thrill the doubter as it still thrills me, a former skeptic? Those who seek God will find him. Even now, they live in the love of God. Do they trust in his Word? Do you and I live in the knowledge that we live within the infinite love of God? Jesus was sent of the Father to show us the answer, proving it on the Cross and at the Resurrection. Oh, that we would live every moment by faith in God's truth in this.
Blessed by every non-believer, called of God to believe yet far from Him. Blessed be every soul seeking God. Blessed be every finder, and blessed be every keeper of this truth. Jesus said that God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son for this awareness that is at the door of the promise of eternal life.
We shall live forever, friend, if we live now in Christ. This is the chorus of the redeemed ones. We shall never die, though we taste the end of life here. More wonders of life beyond than we could ever think, imagine, ask, or dream dwells in the love of God, and there only. May we run to God continually in our hearts, full of the joy of his acceptance of us due only to His Son's work of salvation and sins forgiven, completed on the Cross. This is the Cross that stands over the world, speaking of love to the end.

Top-level comments on this article: (3 total)Very beautifully put. Your prose is poetic. And the unbeliever will also live forever - prayaing they take a look at what is offered through Jesus before it is too late. Thanks for this piece which gives depth to reflecting upon His incredible provision and forgiveness. It is now hard for me to believe that I was a professing atheist for 9 years. He is SO incredible. Marijo (pronounced Mary Jo)Hi, Marijo - Thank you for taking the time to give me such encouraging feedback. It is wonderful to express and share with each other what Jesus means to us and has provided for everyone willing to receive. BTW, I like the spelling of your name, and wondered if Mary Jo was the correct pronunciation. Thanks! ~Blessings, Jean
Jean, thanks for this profound and beautiful composition. Your writing reminds me of Frederick M. Lehman's hymn, The Love of God. Here's the first stanza:The love of God is greater farThan tongue or pen can ever tell;It goes beyond the highest star,And reaches to the lowest hell; The guilty pair, bowed down with care,God gave His Son to win;His erring child He reconciled,And pardoned from his sin.Not sure if you are familiar with it, but your words echo his in my opinion. God bless you.
Edward - I am honored to be anywhere near the writing of that hymn, which I have heard since childhood and yet have not thought of in a while. Thank you for putting the words there, for it meant a lot to me to read them and I hope will do the same for others who stop by. Thank you for what you wrote to me! God bless you also. ~Jean
